Cincinnati Dockers Challenge Columbus in Home Opener

The Cincinnati Dockers Australian Rules Football Club will continue their 2012 season this Saturday afternoon with their first home game of the season, hosting their fierce in-state rivals, the Columbus Jackaroos. The game starts at 2 PM, and takes place at Point Pleasant Park on Resor Road in Fairfield, OH. The game will also be broadcast live via internet radio on the Dockers’ official website at

The Dockers are looking to build off their promising start this season back in April at the John Harrell Memorial Cup in Louisville, losing by a small margin against Nashville, followed by a encouraging win against Chicago.

Columbus will be looking to build off recent success as well, with a victory over Chicago and a loss to Nashville in the John Harrell Memorial Cup, followed by a decisive rout over the North Carolina Tigers last week.

As a reminder, the United States Australian Football League (USAFL) announced that Mason, OH will host the 2012 USAFL National Championship Tournament. This tournament is the largest of its kind in the world, featuring over 1000 athletes competing for over 40 teams from all across the USA and Canada.
