The Cincinnati Dockers Australian Rules Football club will conclude
their 15th anniversary season this Saturday and Sunday, October 8th
and 9th, in Austin, Texas with their participation in the USAFL
National Championship Tournament.
The Dockers are coming off a 91-33 win over their histroic rivals,
the Louisville Kings, two weeks ago in Louisville, KY. They look to
use that momentum to carry them to their fifth USAFL Championship. The
USAFL released the division pairings late last week, and the Dockers
will participate in the Division 4 tournament this year. The Dockers
conquered the division 4 tournament twice previously in 2008 and 2009.
However this time, an unprecedented nine teams are scheduled to
participate in this division’s tournament.
The Dockers will play two matches on Saturday October 8th, and should
they place high enough in the ladder at the end of the day, they will
qualify for the semi-finals on Sunday October 9th, followed by the
championship game at the end of the day.
As a reminder, the United States Australian Football League (USAFL)
announced that Mason, OH will host the 2012 USAFL National
Championship Tournament. This tournament is the largest of its kind in
the world, featuring over 1000 athletes competing for over 30 teams
from all across the USA and Canada. For more information on the
