Dockers Withstand Heat and Travel in Kansas City Tournament

The Cincinnati Dockers survived a 10-plus hour drive to Blue River Park in Kansas City, MO, as well as hot and humid weather on the field, but came up empty-handed in the Best of the Midwest tournament falling in the opening round to eventual champions, the Kansas City Power, 79-15, and then lost an extremely close contest in the third place match to the Des Moines Roosters 28-24. The Dockers’ next match will take place on August 27th when they travel up north to face their in-state rivals, the Columbus Jackaroos.

As a reminder, the United States Australian Football League (USAFL) announced that Mason, OH will host the 2012 USAFL National Championship Tournament. This tournament is the largest of its kind in the world, with over 1000 athletes competing for over 30 teams from all across the USA and Canada.
